(Click on the pictures to take a closer look.)Today was a very busy day at the feeders. It was also the first day I was able to observe birds actually using the bird bath. The American Robins spent a lot of time in the bath this morning. The water is usually frozen, but I try to go out every day and put warm water in the bath to thaw it out so it is useful for the birds. We had many visitors, in the short time I observed the feeders I saw, The American Robin, Dark-Eyed Junco, Mourning Doves, Sparrows and the Black-Capped Chickadees. They attacked the yellow seed. From what I've read, it is likely they are drawn to the more neutral color of the yellow and then the black. I have observed no birds at the red seed feeder and I have not had to add seed to the red seed feeder.

Look closely at the last picture, you can see birds at the feeders, in the bird bath and a squirrel in the tree.

This is really interesting, Elena. Thanks for all the updates. I can't keep the feeders full at my house. Too many Blue Jays! They'll appreciate all the food with this snow! ~Dawn
